Why is not it dangerous to have anxiety symptoms as dizziness, tingling, palpitations and weakness (and how to remove)

I know it seems horrible to live these unpleasant sensations. Before suffering a panic attack usually begin to feel uncomfortable things such as palpitations, dizziness, tingling and so on.

When you do not know why this happens we get scared we even think you're going to drown or will you stop the heart. Knowing what makes the sensations occur you know with certainty that you will not drown or will give you a heart attack (however real it may seem).

Dizziness, palpitations, tingling and others are caused by hyperventilation.

If you learn not hiperventilarte, avoid having these unpleasant sensations.

Clearly we need to breathe to give our body energy. When you breathe, we inhale oxygen-laden air. Once inside, the oxygen travels to the heart through the blood. Then the heart pumps blood to get oxygen throughout the body.

All that oxygen allows nutrients to be converted into energy through a series of chemical reactions. At the end of this process produces carbon dioxide and exhaling expelled. That is, we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.

When you hyperventilate a lot of anxiety is normal and then the level of oxygen and carbon dioxide becomes unbalanced. That is, oxygen levels rise and fall of carbon dioxide.

It can be from breathing too much, breathe shallowly, so take a deep breath.

When this happens, two things happen:

1. The brain detects the lack of carbon dioxide in the blood and tells the body to breathe less. So it seems that the body refuses to breathe as they were doing just now. It is customary to react trying to breathe. When we do this we maintain the balance between oxygen and carbon dioxide we can even get worse. If this happens, our brain can send more signals to the body to breathe let alone STOP breathing even a moment to balance the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide.

It is normal for this to happen. Do not worry, it may look ugly but has no risk.

2. Low levels of carbon dioxide in the blood, alters the pH in the blood and it becomes alkaline producing these sensations that you probably are familiar:

- Dizziness, tingling, palpitations, tremors, weakness in the legs, hot and cold sensations, difficulty seeing well and muscular tension.

I know it seems horrible to experience these sensations in your body. They can be very nasty when you do not know that you are feeling. Best of all is knowing that no danger to feel this kind of thing. They are only minor sensations.

You're not going to drown or have a heart attack because they feel it does NOT mean that something is wrong in your body.

In conclusion, when we are breathing hyperventilating over what we need. Then our body wants to stop breathing a bit for balance and it seems that we are drowning. Because of this chemical changes also occur in our blood and produce unpleasant sensations.

If you notice that you are hyperventilating do the following:

Make a short and slow inspiration. (4 seconds approximately) Make a short breath and slow. (4 seconds approx) Hold your breath for 2 or 3 segundos.Consejos: Make sure that your breathing becomes regular and not try to breathe fast. Allow yourself to relax knowing that you're not going to happen. You can vary the seconds of inhalation, exhalation and stop but remember to be short and slow breaths with stops.

I hope that helped you.

Rocio Lacasa.
