Survival skills is the true power: Guidance

The calamity hit you. You are isolated. You've lost the plot. The night progresses.

Although it may seem extreme, when this happens we are thrown into a survival situation.

And while there is a list of survival skills you need to know to solve problems, the first movement is a movement direction.

It may seem childish to mention a trip out there to bring a map and a compass to explore. But if we lack both, or we lost, nature and a little help can come to our aid.

Oriented

In the midst of a tour, The best that can happen is you know EST WHERE? S (a map can help), and the direction of travel to the place WHERE ARE YOU GOING (a compass will help). Here you can say you are oriented.

Disorientated

You may know EST WHERE? S, but not the direction of travel, so you will be disoriented. With some guidance techniques over the moment.

Geared up

There will be no problems if you do not know WHERE EST? S, but you know WHERE you should go to. You should only start to go to that place.

Lost or misplaced

The worst that can happen, and you must avoid at all costs, is not knowing EST WHERE? WHERE ARE YOU GOING S or, for then you will be lost or misplaced.

Maps to know where EST? S

For EST WHERE? S, you can use maps. Before leaving, you had better anticipate even minimally meet the place you are exploring, studying a map.

If you live an emergency situation, try to remember where EST? S, if you saw it on the maps.

If you have a map, focus on memorizing some reference points that are visible from afar and in many ways: a lake, a mountain with distinctive features, an abandoned building, etc..

Remember that a high point allows you a wider field of vision and direction, and usually a downstream river always leads to an inhabited place.

Orient to know where to go

To orient you know a technique or mechanism that lets you know the direction of travel. No doubt a compass is the best way to stay oriented.

You should try to realize to what extent cardinal was the place where you were headed, or the place where civilization.

But if you have lost the compass, you can dip into the elements of nature that can auxiliarte to find north.

You can find north using your watch by day, the shadows produced by a stick in relation to the sun, sunrise and sunset. At night you can use the stars, the different phases of the moon (during the day). If it's cloudy, you can analyze the logs of trees and wetlands or check their growth rings, the slopes of the mountains, or the moss on the rocks, and you can also use the address of the rivers.

You see, many survival situations could be avoided by simply taking the appropriate precautions.

Of course, to take the necessary precautions, you know.
